Investigate Isaac Herzog

In December 2025, two years into the genocide in Gaza, Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog, was formally invited to visit Australia by the Albanese Labor Government.

In response to this, AFOPA put in a formal request to the Attorney-General and the Australian Federal Police to investigate Herzog for incitement of Genocide under Division 268. AFOPA was the first organisation to put in a formal complaint, although it quickly became a national campaign.

Through December and January, AFOPA coordinated a national visibility postering campaign in the style of ‘Wanted’ posters.

In Feburary, Herzog came to Australia and was met with protests across the country - with considerable police brutality shamefully taking place in New South Wales.

SA Divestment Motion

In November 2025, AFOPA in collaboration with a range of crossbenchers, drafted a motion calling on the South Australian Government to cease all exports of weapons and weapons components from South Australia which may be used by the Israeli Government to commit genocide, divest all public funds from any corporation which may be complicit in Israel’s genocide.

The motion was introduced to the Parliament on 25 November 2025 by Independent MLC Tammy Franks, with the support of Connie Bonaros MLC (SA Best), Jing Lee MLC (Better Community), and Robert Simms MLC (SA Greens).

Labor adjourned the motion without debate.

BDS Steet Actions

AFOPA’s Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Street Actions Group operated continuously for 15 years. With over 300 actions under their belt, the BDS Crew have been a visible presence in Rundle Mall for over a decade, holding placards, handing out informational leaflets and having conversations with the public about the importance of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaigns.

A Palestinian-led, global campaign pressuring Israel to comply with international law. It advocates nonviolent economic action, similar to those used to force South Africa to end Apartheid in the 1990s.

In 2026, the BDS Crew ceased its weekly actions.
